09.09.08

Last night we joined a few neighbors and 2 dogs in front of Buddies Market. We were there to make sure Buddies employees along with Canyon Market employees got home/to their cars safely.

I had a great time meeting my neighbors, venting etc. Come join us!

We got to talking about how dark the Diamond St. side of Buddies Market is...you know the side that always gets tagged. I told Ann about these solar powered wireless motion sensor lights that only require a few screws to install. They are only like $55.00. Just think how much good a few of these could do.

I'd like us to organize people or vehicles to escort people to their homes from the BART stop. Now that there's time-limited parking near BART, I have to walk to BART and get back late. I don't know what system should be organized, but I'd like one. What do you think?

RE: camera

Imagine if a lot of us got those cameras and connected them to a single Web site that any of us could visit...voila...24-hour surveillance...

Re: Camera surveillance. I think camera surveillance has potential value. Both still and motion cameras are available. An area that could use constant camera surveillance is the dirt parking lot behind Gialina's Pizzeria. One source for automated cameras is Cabela's, an outdoor supply company (they have a website) that sells cameras for monitoring wildlife activity. It could be useful to post photos of suspicious activities on a Flickr account where the photos would be accessible to anyone.
